    Thanks Walter and rob

this may sound ignorant (and probably is) but can i do single link HD edit/online with the sata drives. i looked at a review on AMUG and they say the write speed for the tempo with the port multiplier is 200mbps ish and the read is 233mbps which sounds slow. however if you have two enclosures it will go up in speed. therefor i could potentualy by 3 enclosures with two drives in each adn get 300mbps. am i correct in my thinking?

    Hi Roy

you should be able to export the file either through compressor or quick time. if you are using compressor export the file as DV Pal or 8bit uncompressed or what ever format you choose, if your using quicktime choose current settings and export that way. the lacie drive shouldn’t make any difference.

i’m not sure if the format of the drive may be causing a problem i.e mac to PC

    hope this helps
