    hi everyone

i’ve spent my hole weekend trying to sort Motion i have a G5 quad with the kona LHe card and 20” broadcast monitor.
i have been editing in FCP and when i send out non embeded clip to motion and do my titles then when i try to import them back in i encure an error file not recognised.

i have reinstalled, trashed prefrences, looked at the apple site (and pulled what little i have left of my hair out). could FCP be corupt or is it a pro aplication support problem. i’ve tried to search the internet for anyone who has had this problem but cant find an answer. maybe i’m not being spesific enough.

i am running firewire drives but i’ve done this before and not had a problem.

i’ve also recently had a clean install of the whole system (writing zeros to the drive)

this is my first time on the forum so forgive me if i’ve not gone about this the right way. please help if you can as technical problems drain me and my ability to do what i’m supposed to which is edit.

    thanks

    nick

    Hi Nick,

Just joined Creative Cow looking for the same answer as you.

Fairly new to FCP after editing on velocity for a number of years.

Just wanted to know if you ever managed to sort the problem?

The only work around I have found so far is to bring in an older motion file, re-edit it then save it with a new name.

    Good luck.

    Moggy
