Ups, seems like I won’t be able to open your ae template, I got 32bit windows and CS5 and UP require 64bit windows, I just have one computer and I can hardly update to 64 bit at this point

I also found this method (jpg attached), but seems to be too advanced for me, I can not understand some steps

Thank you Chris, I really need your guide, I’m so excited to try your method, but I’m not exactly an expert, when you mean “interpret fields on” do I do that on “interprate footage” then “Fields and Pulldown” (separate fields ?) or where exactly ?

unfortunately the template you made was done in AE CS5.5 and I only have the CS4 but I guess I will try to get the CS6 trial, and finally do you mean that I should resize the video on photoshop extended but why exactly ? I mean, increase the size and then reduce it again to SD while editing ? SD is perfect for the customer but as long as the out of focus is improved, this out of focus is severe, if you can take a look to my first post there is a frame sample in SD
Thanks for your valuable help Chris, I hope you can guide me a little bit, I’m really desperated !!

God Bless you sebastian, your solution worked perfectly for me, I don’t know if it changed something important or not but bye bye to the f…. error
    Thanks a lot !!

  • Peter, I meant that a final edited DVD is around 2 hours long so far, but the raw footage is 4 tapes (more than 3.5 hours), I hired a guy to record that wedding while I was in anothere event and his cameras was using a low sharp preset by mistake, so even if it looks ok while he was recording, the final captured video looks like out of focus, sample attached, SD video

  • Thanks to everyone, Richard, this was a wedding so I can not re-shoot, Bouke, unfortunately the camera is moving of paning very frequently and most of the shots are wide so I can not use a mask in most of the cases, so I have to do something with the whole frame,

and Dave, actually a picture-in-picture was going to be one of my resources to disguise the bad focus but I can not do it the whole 2 hours (or more) video, 4 tapes were recorded using a low sharp camera preset by mistake

I saw on a web than some video editors have better sharpening filters than others, but this case is really bad, not just slight,
I bought an analog video corrector device with sharpening but it seems to look worst than digital sharpening (unacceptable, not even close), I’m really desperate !!

Thanks to everyone, the problem is the customer will watch it in a Plasma TV It will look even blurrier, do you think the customer won’t really complain ? the reason of why I didn’t shoot this in HD was because they could only pay $ 500 for this video (I never imagined going so so cheap)but 4 tapes of this event are that blurry and they will watch it in a plasma TV, I promised a SD video, but I’m really worried if they can sue me, I wonder if is there anyway to protect me from being sued when I deliver the DVDs

it was a sony HVR-VX2000 by mistake using a low sharp user preset, do you know any software, external plugin or hardware that could help to rescue, even a company in L.A. that can do the miracle, I have 4 tapes of this problem
Thanks a lot for your time !!
