That symbol usually means some files have been deleted/corrupted or possibly moved that the Mac needs to boot.

The fact that it has 1 or 3 sensors is going to have little impact on you getting a good key if the camera you choose is 4.2.0 based on either DV or HDV format.
There is not enough colour information to provide good enough seperation for keying and you will be in for a weekly world of pain trying.
It is such a false economy as you will either have to spend ages in your edits battling to get it right or just have to give up and accept very poor results.

You can import XDCam but only via the Sony XDCam transfer software.

Once you have one clip with an effect that you are happy with, select that clip and use the option c copy command.
Then de-select your first clip and select all the other clips you wish to apply the effect to.
Right click and select the “paste attributes” option.
This will bring up a dialogue box with various options.
Select the “filters” option and click OK
That will apply the effect from your first clip to the rest.

Ok now I am confused – when you say

If you placed it on channel 1 in the timeline then it worked!
Do you mean the source side ?
You cant change where the source audio is. If thats been recorded on track 2 then it will be always on track 2 on the source side.
Simply assign track 2 on the source side to track 1 on the destination side. (Just drag 2 up to 1) then when you make an edit it will go to track 1 on your timeline.

Highlight all of the audio clips on track 2.
Hold down the shift key so you dont slip sync and just drag them all up to audio 1. As long as they are all highlighted they will all move at the same time.best wishes

If I could just add to Shane’s excellent advice.
Having edited on Avid for years I learnt FCP about 6 or 7 years ago.
One mistake that I made at the time was to want FCP to be like Avid and do things the “Avid way”. I ended up getting more and more frustrated with it until after about a week decided to just let FCP be different, embraced that and then got on so much better. I learnt more in the next couple of days than I had the whole previous week.Same applies the other way, accept Avid’s differences, dont try to force it to do things the “FCP way” and you will have a much smoother ride.

Sounds like a silly question but have you checked on the Digital Heaven site and looked for an upgrade of the plug-in ?
Current version is 2.2 – whats yours ?
They are pretty good at keeping things up to date so that would be my first port of call.If not contact DH – they are a helpful lot – I am sure you will get your answer (bear in mind they are on UK time)

From your description it certainly sounds like you are overdoing the whites especially since its making your subject overexposed.
I would suggest first you read up on using the video scopes as this will give you a much better understanding. I would suggest the waveform monitor and the parade are a good start. But essentially an understanding of the video waveform and its spec is going to help you loads.
Then have a read up on the 3 way Colour Corrector.
Those 2 things are the answer to all of your exposure/white balance issues.
However very basically:
Go to the tools menu and select video scope.
Use the waveform monitor to measure your image. You will clearly see white and black marked.
Use the 3 way colour corrector to make your whites peak white, and to get a balance between that and your subject.
Also use this to correct any white balance issues (your yellow cast) rather than just blowing it out to “fix it”It may be that you need to go over to get an even white but dont just ramp it right up.
Then you can patch as before.
You can then use the broadcast legal filter to clip any peaks.
But again dont use it as a catch all take care to balance your whites as much as you can first.
This will ensure that everything is at peak white and no more.You should then find that the limiting/clamping issues that you are seeing go away as everything should then be in spec.
