Yeah, as Pieter mentioned above, this was done using Idoomo. The flow is exactly how you imagined Simon – you import a CSV into Idoomo and it spits out personalized videos where the only elements that change are the “dynamic” elements you marked.

That said, if you want to use something more integrated with After Effects, there are a few options:

– If you don’t have a ton of videos to render, and you’d like to render locally, you can use something like https://aescripts.com/compsfromspreadsheet/

– If you want scalability and cloud rendering, you can use something like https://plainlyvideos.com/, which is cloud based and allows connection of many other data sources, not just a CSV.

A few more alternatives are:

– using CompsFromSpreadsheet (super easy to setup, one time fee)

– Templater (similar to CompsFromSpreadsheet, but one level up in terms of functionality)

– Plainly (plainlyvideos(dot)com which is again similar to the two solutions above but it would allow you to render these videos in the cloud instead of using your machine)

There’s also compsFromSpreadsheet which is a one-time purchase and very easy to set up; and also Plainly (plainlyvideos.com) which is also an After Effects automation with cloud rendering if you don’t want to render videos on your machine.
