So, upon further review, I’ve found that Premiere crashes upon importing any footage at all. Immediate crash and shutdown of program. And, as noted, this has happened even after a full reinstall of the program. I’m guessing it’s a problem with the operating system, so I’m going to try a full wipe of the hard drive and a reinstallation of Yosemite.

I can’t export any ProRes files because I am running Windows (unless I am totally missing something). I am looking to get as uncompressed as possible, so would Quicktime YUV 422 10bit work or RGB 10bit be better? File sizes aren’t an issue.

Alright, thanks! So here’s the real question: if I’m looking to import my Davinci resolve final back into premiere, what should I use? MPEG4? I’m working with RED footage. I’d prefer something as uncompressed as possible.

That doesn’t make sense, because the Davinci website says that you can export 4k up to the UHD limit, so I should be able to export fine. I’m also getting this error message:

Failed to initialize RED Decoder with the configured number of decoders.

    Anyone else been getting this?

Thank you so much, everyone! I’m going to go with the MP4s for now because I need to get the project done. Thanks so much, you guys are great.

Nevermind! Found a widescreen generator online that solves the problem. Thanks for the help!

Unfortunately I do not have own Photoshop. Can someone here make one and upload it? Or send it to me via email nmckay3@gmail.com

I seem to have fixed it for now – reimported it again, and now it works fine. Thanks for the help though.

Compressor is quite complicated. Does anyone know how to convert a video from Apple Pro Res LT to a Windows Media Player file? Just wondering, thanks.
