    Hi Michael,

Thanks for taking the time to write this response! I did what you suggested and it worked (almost) perfectly! Do you think this method is a better approach than than using the discs and doing it directly within C4D? Seems like the discs are less work but I’m not sure if they’ll yield a better result.

    Thanks!

Can you expand on the animated texture? Is that something I can create within C4D? Also, would the animated texture allow the rings to fade on/off while they radiate? I know C4D can’t do changing capacities for objects. Thanks!

June 20, 2008 at 6:15 pm in reply to: Bad Audio Problems

Alright, so after lots of searching and trial and error, I finally figured out my problem!

All of my audio was too hot! In Adobe Premiere I had everything peaking around 0db, but after reading a few other forums online, I discovered that it should be peaking at -6db.

So if you ever run into a lot of scratches, pops, and generally bad audio, check your levels!

    Hope this helps someone….

    Hey Nicole,

Shoot me an email when you get a sec…I’d like to talk to you a bit more, but not bog down the forums with chatter.

    Hi Kendra,

I’m actually from Rockland, which is the next town over from Rockport. I worked at one of the three Post house’s in Camden (also next to Rockport, but to the north) and we had regular contact with the Workshops – mostly to rent gear. However, I worked with a lot of people who teach there, and I know they are all professionals in their respect fields. While I have not taken any of the classes, I do know this:

    – They hire people from all over the world to teach
    – The students come from all over the world to learn
    – You will learn a lot
    – The people are great
    – Almost all of the work I’ve seen come out of there is great
    – Just take a workshop, don’t enroll in the college accredit degree program
    – As Nicole said, you will network with a lot of like minded people
    – Go in the summer when Maine is WARM and the most beautiful, and be sure to take advantage of a schooner rides out of Rockport harbor 😉

I think the bottom line is if you have the money to do it, take advantage of the workshops and learn new skills. The workshops are known worldwide, so having that on a resume will be nothing but positive. You will learn a lot and have a good time, and of course you will meet a lot of great people.

hmmm…this sort of works, but it’s not really what I’m looking for. Any other ideas?

The ornament has now lost it’s smoothness, and the logo goes inward, rather than outward…

    thanks

Thanks for the extra info Carl! Right clicking on the record window seems to be a quicker way to get to that window. You wouldn’t happen to know how to set a default timeline timecode start time, would you? So when I open Avid with a new project, the timecode will automatically start at 00:58:00:00 as instead of 00:00:30:00?

Also, I’m using Avid Free DV right now, and I don’t think it has color correction. However, I just ordered Avid Express Pro, so I’ll take a look at the color correction when it comes in!

    Thanks again!
