It could be done, but it wouldn’t be very comfortable to use, depending on what you actually do with the camera. The main problem is to find the dimensions of the layer when the are placed on the projection circle/ distant plane. Since AE does not give you acces to the layer’s corner points directly, you have to add extra math to determine the offset from the ideal circle (the supposed projection) vs. the real projected position in relation to the layer anchor point.

The overlays are realtime and can be toggled in most softwares. You can even assign realtime zooming in some apps to better focus on small inputs. I do my voiceovers post-recording, but if you are a native speaker and have ascript at hand that gives you exact timing, you could do it whil recording. It’s entirely up to you.

You have the full version of Acrobat and don’t know how to use it for your benefit? What’s with “extract pages”? What with “split document”? What with “Save all images”? Really, you are making things harder on yourself than need be. All you need is to separate the pages into individual documents and then import them into AE. I’d only use PS as a last resort and if you are sure you want to freeze your layers. If you have, use Illustrator to create new crop marks in your separated documents and clean up all irrelevant data.

Yepp, if you have the Pro version of AE, you should try CC Lightburst or whatever it is called (in case you miss them: They are a separate install on your CD). Other than that, Shine is the way to go.

If your talent is just moving away from the camera in a linear fashion, there may not be enough difference between frames to keep the tracker “alert”. If you’re filming sideways, motion blur may be the killing factor. Assuming you have enough contrast, you should try to isolate the spheres first. Create an extra comp, treat you footage with some effects (Levels, Threshold) until only the spheres stand out and then render this. Re-import and track your tweaked footage, then simply, if successful, copy the resulting keyframes wherever you need them. Other than that, keep Colin’s tips at the back of your head. Out of curiosity – “Sib Ntsib Dua” – what does it mean and what ethnic origins does it have? Sounds very African too me…

Nope. You have to go thru all your effects manually and find the offending one with the text problem. I don’t think that a normal text layer is the problem, as AE resets them to the default font (either Arial or Myriad) if it can’t find a specific typeface). It’s more likely some effect like ParticlePlayground or Digital Anarchy’s Text Matrix are still looking for the font. References in effects are stored absolute and do not adapt automatically.
