    Hello,

I’m trying to make an effect in AE where as a graphic shatters rays of light escape between the cracks from behind. (shatter’s no prob 🙂 I’m thinking that eventually the light will shine directly into camera and a flash frame will get me on to the next shot. I used to have a Boris effect on an Avid that did something similar.

I’m guessing I need to throw a “mist” into the whole thing so that the light has stuff to hit. Anyone know a good way to do this?

    Thank you,
    Brad

Trapcode’s Shine is good for the volumetric light look. I think the Cycore filters that came with AE 6.5 has something similar as well.

Yepp, if you have the Pro version of AE, you should try CC Lightburst or whatever it is called (in case you miss them: They are a separate install on your CD). Other than that, Shine is the way to go.
