you could just use a gamma plug in FCPX and add or subtract to get where you wanna go.
Know this isn’t ideal but such features I just don’t see happening in FCPX. But file a suggestion with Apple – perhaps its out lucky day !——————————————————————————

So it does appear to be a motion specific bug or do you have a template which uses drop zones without performance penalty ?

A long shot -> Does the Project sample rate match the source audio sample rate ?

You can achieve whatever you want in both PPRO and Resolve. It just depends on what you feel comfy with. Resolve was initially designed as a color grading software and later added cutting features whereas PPRO was designed to cut and later added color grading features.
If the colorist knows what he’s doing and doesn’t need too much tracking or root scoping PPRO will do and you won’t have to mess with importing into Resolve.
My Advice:
Try grading in PPRO and see if you like the results and Workflow. If not, move on to Resolve and try that. Then make up your mind as to what you prefer !

Hi Herb,
I too know of your gripes. I got an 16 Inch MBP and thought I could just override installation and install Mojave. Not possible…
To anyone reading this…. ALL Hardware from Apple shipping with Catalina Pre-installed will NOT be able to boot or run on macOS Systems prior to Catalina !!!!
Anyway, I managed to get ALL my plug-ins (aside those which are only 32 bits) working on Catalina. So Herb my questions is – What exactly prevented you from using Catalina ?

I have an 5k Ultra Fine from LG which is amazing. I also can recommend LGs true 4k (4096 Pixels) computer monitor. Both aren’t too expensive.
