Did you have any trouble searching? I’m looking for parts for my PMW-200. When I put that in the parts finder, it says “No models found”.

You can still install XDCAM Transfer in Yosemite, even though it’s officially end of life. Run the XDCAM Transfer 2.13 installer. It will mount the installer. Go to XDCAM Transfer 2.13.mpkg, and right click and select “Show Package Contents”. Go to Contents/Packages and run the installers you see there. It will install and run on Yosemite. We’re doing that here.

Ian, I think my problem is #4. I’m trying to write 1920×1080 at 420 35Mb. It looks like that isn’t possible.

February 27, 2015 at 9:03 pm in reply to: Problem with Premiere Pro project

This has been an ongoing problem for me for the last six months. Adobe thought my problem was because I upgraded to CC2014 while trying to use the same project, so I started a new project and spent a few days completely rebuilding it. All was fine for awhile, until today it completely froze again. I might try to create a new project every month and use media browser to only import the last sequence I created. This will start every month with a simplified project and if I need to refer to an older sequence, I’ll still have last month’s project on file. I’ll see if that works.

I created a new project and used media browser to import just my latest sequence, and it worked! I’ve tried this in the past without success, but it’s working now. Maybe I can use this technique to periodically slim my project and maybe that will fix things. Thanks for the help.

XDCAM Transfer is end of life so it’s not supported beyond Mavericks. I’m in the same boat.

  • I agree. Often, I have our CEO bop in to approve a spot and he doesn’t like to wait while Premiere loads the project and all the clips. However, if I leave the spot up, he may not come in for hours and I can’t do anything else. In FCP 7, I just left that project open in the background.

I use a program called Screenflow to capture a quicktime of my screen while I’m operating the website. It’s designed to create your own tutorials, but you don’t have to use all that.

  • Will it be possible to rename the clip names and not just change the titles? We import the clips from EX cards and XDCAM disks into our Apple Mac systems, and then we search our hard drive by clip names. We’re still using XDCAM Transfer because that’s the only program that allows us to rename the clips.
