Is FCP set to drop frame or non drop frame? Could this be the issue? I don’t have a solution… just offering a suggestion.

Are there any negative effects on deleting just the cache? I have already trashed and relaunched my prefs for another problem I was experiencing…. then this happened. Are you suggesting I only trash the cache files and not all of the pref folder as I previously did? Are there negative effects on the rest of the project or will the cache folder rebuild itself as I work on the project?

Just trying to be precautious cause I am finished the project and about to author the DVD and don’t want to have to start anything all over again.

Please do not take this the wrong way, but your suggestion is basic and already been tried over and over. It is always the first thing I and anyone else should try. Before I post on Cow I always do all the obvious stuff first… then research… then post. I have already removed my prefs and it is not fixing the problem. I have been on the phone with Apple care and AJA… no one seems to know so here I am posting.

If anyone else has any idea or it has happened to them…. please help.

I found this post and it did answer my initial question of how to find unused media. I read all three posts and aware it does not find nested sequences. I am leary it is telling me incorrect info…

My project is broken down into 7 sequences… 6 for individual chapters and the 7th to nest them all. All sequences exist in the same bin. I highlighted all 7 and asked for unused media. It is giving me back a lengthy list and after careful examination I noticed there are psd files listed I know for certain are being used. This concerns me cause I don’t want to delete stuff being used.

I am about to master the project to Beta and will soon delete all capture scratch, but in the meantime I really need to make space on the terabyte by deleting all unused media.

Could you please tell me if I missed a step or doing it incorrectly?

I found it but still doesn’t solve the problem. I am going to try starting all over setting up the comp. I haven’t had this problem before and I use cameras for everything including illustrator files. Thank you for taking the time to reply!

Would the antialias setting be in the camera settings? I am having trouble finding the setting you are speaking of. Sorry 🙁
