I’m no expert but one way to ” desaturate this specific blue without affecting overall color too much” would be to make a second video track and copy and paste the same thing that is on the layer below. Then crop or Vignette the upper layer and add a color corrector filter to it…

The other way is to export it to color where you can have control over just certain areas of the image.

P.S it seems to be dropping whatever audio tracks that are not in the sequence. Could this be caused by making many copies of a time line? We work on a new copy of the time line every day. Also when I cut in new merged files they seem to work fine.

I’m not sure entirely but I can tell you that GOP stands for the Group Of Pictures. This setting is often used when dealing with HDV footage. 15 refers to the number of frames in a “GOP.” The more frames in the GOP the worse the picture typically. But I don’t know too much about this hopefully this helps

in fact, to truly finish in HD from FCE you would need external hardware and card for your computer (like a black magic) that could output in HD

“ok, I’ll reley on person handling the project, but isn’t it strange that product with HD in titile of the product ”

Even when you are recording HD in a camera on the original source take for the most part this footage is compressed too. HD is a some what loose and evolving word.

The great thing about FCE is that it can capture HD footage but for the most part people use other programs like FCP, AVID Nitrous, to do ONLINE broadcast quality editing. Don’t be surprised it the editor asks for your master tapes. He may be redigitizing to “uprez” the video.
