I see. Well this is an 8 minute section of a project destined to be around 40 minutes long so I’ll do my final DVD burn with these settings then. It’s to be played on standard commercial DVD players.

Once again, thank you for the helpful advice.

Thanks. That has made a big difference. I’ve never used CBR before, always VBR. Is that a recommended setting of 7.85mb/s for general use when creating DVDs then?

Many thanks to both of you. It didn’t work the first time but changing the emitter type as suggested fixed it.

If you were both in Munich, I’d get a round of beers in!

But I interpret the footage correctly and I don’t set anything for interlacing. I’ve noticed that by creating a project in HDTV format 720 25, the TIF sequence appears as I expect (although I have to scale it up).

Well I mean just after importing the TIF sequences into AE or Premiere. The preview windows show my animations with the lower quality before I’ve even tried to render anything from those applications.
