Cineform has a plug in that uses an intermediate codec for editing. The process takes time and tons of hard drive space before editing can begin.

Unless I am missing something, rendered preview files are not used in any export options. Switching to a Custom project eliminates any firewire out preview for SD.

Create a new sequence (File>New>Sequence). Then from the Project window, drag the sequence icon representing the sequence you want to import into the new blank sequence…trim as needed.

You can edit audio at the Track level using the Audio Mixer. But beware- the keyframes become part of the track and not the clips. Do this only after you have finished editing video completely, as moving any clips after editing with the audio mixer will cause much consternation!

Depending on what versions of PS and AP you have, Photoshop can produce .psd files that Premiere cant import, If “Maximize Compatibility” is turned off in Photoshop.

Yes, that is an Open DML DirectShow video file.

Most file types cannot exceed 4 GB. The exception is Open DML video codecs like DirectShow and Mpeg 2 plus a few more.
The maximum file size for a VIDEO_TS folder is limited only by the capacity of the disc as the largest file inside is 1 GB.
Someone correct me as I am getting old. -
Still captured from video often display field issues. I deinterlace and enhance frame grabs in Photoshop.

You movie plays fine on my PC.
There 2 QT player settings that could cause the problem. Both under Edit>Quicktime Preferences;
Under File Types, Mpeg-4 Media needs to be selected.
Under Browser, “Play movies automatically” needs to be selected or the browser will parse the data in the file.
Also under Browser is MIME Settings where Mpeg must be selected.
I suspect their problem is installing other players which change QT preferences and then they cannot play Mpeg 4.
Try clanging the extension to .mov
