Check for an empty frame about 4 seconds before the end of the sequence in Premiere. Zoom way in.

This subject has been a “hot button” issue on the Adobe Premiere forum, generating its own sub-forum. Cineform seems to be the short term solution as Premiere now cannot import the EX-1 files. I suspect Adobe will address this with an update at some point…maybe about the time Sony gets caught up on back orders.

I did not know that!!! You can copy/paste sequences between projects…only the media associated with the sequence is pasted as well.

When importing one project into another, Premiere is not creating any new media, just duplicating the icons in the Project window from the imported project…just icons.
I understand how having all these new icons can cause you problems if you are not well organized (using bins) in both projects, otherwise you end up with a ton of stuff in the root directory which scrolls for miles.
Premiere’s Project file’s file size can cause problems for some. Primarily memory problems. If reopening your latest project takes more than a minute or exceeds 30 MB is size…save often.

Mike, you missed what Vincent was asking. Window”s File System FAT32 wont support files larger than 4 GB. You need to reformat the drive as NTSF.
1. Clean it off
2. In Windows Explorer, right click on the drive’s icon and choose Format.
3. Choose NTSF as the File system and Quick Format.
4. Press Start -
This is known problem if you choose the “Embedded Video” option for Play Options in the Player Options settings. Stick with “Linked FLV Video” option.

Slashes are not allowed (by Windows) as part of a file name. Replace with an underscore.

Frame size is your Project Setting preset resolution. Image size is the resolution of your asset. What is the PAR (pixel Aspect Ratio)? is the image squished in the Program window? If not, then Premiere may be correct.

I dont think you will have any issues…but have plan B just in case; Lloyd, why not give David your cell phone number so he can call you for help if needed!

Try;
File>New>Black Video
Place the black video in a superior track at the end and fade it up from zero opacity to 100% opacity.
