I’m going by what a BMD tech told me. (btw, I go by taz291819 over on atemuser.com).
The tech told me that it currently isn’t compatible, but it is a highly requested feature, and that their engineers are looking into it.
Though, I do agree with you, the tech may not have known what he was talking about.

Does your switcher have the ability to output color bars? If so, output the color bars, record it BetaSP, ingest that to Premiere Pro, and then look at the scopes. That should tell you if things are off.

Have you hooked the output of the AJA to a scope and sent test patterns (color bars) through it?

Are you using a Blackmagic preset sequence? I noticed with the older drivers, I could still get preview output on my monitor even with a non-Blackmagic sequence, but that went away once I updated to the newest drivers.
IMO, that wasn’t a big deal.

FYI, currently, the new BM camera isn’t compatible with their ATEM switchers.

I primarily use a laptop, and used one to capture those files. Mine is a Asus G53SW, i7 Quad, 16GB Ram, GTX460M with 1.5GB VRam. It has absolutely no problems with the files.
Please note, the only real problems with laptops (and desktops) is what type of USB 3.0 controller it uses. There have been a LOT of incompatibilities with the Shuttle. So make sure to search this forum to find a laptop that is known to work with it.

What kind of USB 3.0 controller does the Acer use? I know both the G53 and G73 use the Renease USB chip.

Both DV (or HDV) and MJPEG are fast, as well as uncompressed (as long as your hard drives can keep up). The Shuttle can capture in all three of those formats.
