I bought the Blackmagic Video Recorder for my VHS and older footage. Works like a charm. Thanks for the advice and input.

I found the answer to the Blu Ray endless loop for trade show media. Toast 10 Titanium can make an endless loop without the black frame. Phew… The deadline was looming.

I’m having the same problem on a mac. I just want a trade show movie to loop seamlessly and instead of going back to the beginning it flashes a black frame and then begins. I’m using a white background on the movie file so the transition is glaring. The only reason I bought this software is that it will handle Blu Ray Media. Unfortunately, DVD Studio Pro does not and I’ve never had a problem with the looping function with standard DVD’s. This “bug” makes the software useless for any type of trade show work. Does anyone have a work around for this? I’ve tried a bunch of approaches.

Try changing the keyframe interpolation to linear. This will stop the float.

I have the same motion dog slow experience too working in HD. <1 per second playback and setting up the scene is slow and frustrating. I changed the resolution to quarter and there is not much of a performance improvement.

    In 1080, I shoot 60i, and 30p

In 720, I shoot 30p with variable frame rates ranging from 12 to 60 fps.

I bring the files in via the P2 import in FCP.

I’m not sure if pull down is applied.

The monitor came back to full raster for 1 day it is now back to the reduced image. Do I need to power up the multibridge pro in any particular way? Should I leave the power connected at all times to the MBP?

Being that it worked and now it doesn’t makes me wonder?

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks for your reply.

Everything looks fine in FCP. Coming out of the component jacks, the picture looks very underscanned. My underscan button on the Sony PVM 80420 monitor has no effect. Running composite to the monitor has the same effect or less quality.

The display preference on the Mac reads the NTSC monitor as 720 x 486.

I’m not sure if I’m missing something but it’s hard to judge image size and quality.

I deleted the Blackmagic prefs and all seems okay. Phew. Is this normal?

By me increasing the video gain to 1.69 on the proc amp to meet colorbars, does that add noise to the picture?
