This is what my question was about. In a meantime I have found that rendering without background footage (transparent) also fits to my current needs, but I will keep this tip for the future, as an another piece of practical technique.
Thank you Steve for another great expalanaition (as always! ☺

Alright, so I made few tests and it looks like mocha gives the best results. I will need to make some retouch anyway so here is another question. There is a paint tool which I never used before, but now I’m thinking to paint on matte previously created with that mocha tracking. This way I could correct imperfected edges. I’m looking into settings and can paint on a single frame, however am wondering if there’s an option to jump ahead few frames, make another painting, so the frames in between will adjust to outsides? If you know what I mean????

Kalleheikki, thank you for project file and your help; the result is just awesome! The only problem I got now is with time remap. The sample I sent was taken 6m19s from beginning. First I’ve just replaced sample footage with the full length original, but it doesn’t work. So I found matching frame and started from this point – now it looks fine. So I have this 6 minutes missing and can’t find the solution. I don’t use time remap and don’t know to much about it, could you suggest how to fix it?

Thx for this detailed reply! Would you say that blender is worse because it’s free? (In terms of overall rating, not a particular differences/functions between these two applications).

    Thanks for advice.
I did it with H264 but with cbr of 40 Mbps I get terrible artifacts in some shots. I made some tests and end up with satisfying results by vbr of 60-100. Also exported one version in H265 which works well in this case and I would say maybe better quality than H264 with slightly smaller size.

    Thank you!
