    I hate to say it, because I use Avid… but if this is for high school students, the easiest, quickest, and usually pretty good looking it iMovie. iMovie comes standard on any Mac, so if you already have one… or you could buy a cheap Mac and you’re all set. There is even a check box for the Ken Burns effect. You just dump in the pictures, put the music in, and tell it to arrange pictures to length of music and you’re done. iMovie is how I started. I’ve never touched Final Cut though.

    What’s decently priced? Decently priced would be around $1600 to $2800. Does anyone know where I could find one in that range? A brand new 100B is at a good price, but I need something a little cheaper.
