    same thing again.

now i’m in chapter 9, which is the Pan/Crop, Track Motion, and Basic Compositing in Vegas chapter.

on page 365, readers are instructed to open the pan-crop.veg file…which again, IS NOT on the disk! lol.

i’m trying my best to follow along. but without the files, it makes it a lot more difficult and TIME CONSUMING.

the only difference (as far as functionality is conconcerned) that i can find is with the BUS track…being able to write and edit automation envelopes in the timeline.

FX tracks won’t allow you to write envelopes…

    is that the only difference?

    thanks for the response!

what processor are you using? how strong / fast is it?

what is your minimum system requirement as far cpu-wise when it comes to converting and editing cineform .avi files?

ok…so cineform neoscene has a cpu requirement of: Core 2 Duo 2GHz.

does that mean that after the video clip has been processed using neoscene, that the computer that i’m using to edit to clip has to be at least that strong?

yes…sony acid does already have that feature…but what if i wanted to seamlessly link sony vegas AND sony acid?

the best tool to link all of your sony software AND other multimedia applications is through the utilization of ReWire.

AND sony vegas would be the FIRST of all video-based applications to make the transition into A/V application integration.

ok…i might just have to do that…

if users can’t get VSTi support, Sony Vegas Pro should at least get ReWire support!

with either of those two features / characteristics (VSTi or ReWire implementation) Sony Vegas Pro would be the first of all video applications make that specific step.
