syncing up audio from different tracks
I am using Vegas 7, but I am getting ready to upgreade to Pro 8. I use this program to create music video mashups. this entails taking 2 or more different songs and editing them together creatively to make a new song. I create the audio first in a separate program then I use Vegas to edit the orginal music videos so that they match the new audio track. I make sure that the 2 (or more) original videos are playing at the same PBM (Tempo) as my created audio track.
But I still have problems with what I call drift. The music and vocals match for a short time but one or another track will slowly fall out of sync with the others. I have tried to use the timestretch effect, but that usually makes things worse. does Vegas have a tool to Quantize or sync up different tracks so the tempos all match? -

does vegas pro 9 have any tools that allow one to find the BPM of an audio track?
