Go back to using DVDA 5.2
6.0 didn’t really add anything worthwhile so I stuck with 5.2 and don’t have any problems.

  • If you click on a single video track, that’s all that will get split.
To split everything, click in a blank space above or below the timeline and then split it.

Several users on the Sony Vegas forum use and like the AMD 290 card.

Joao,Vegas has never worked like that. Each event (what Vegas calls a clip) is treated independently. The only thing it groups together is the video and audio portions of a specific event. If you want two or more events to be affected simultaneously, you have to group them.

Vegas does allow it but you have to group them first before you trim them.

It’s been reported here and elsewhere that Vegas does not handle large numbers (50 or more as I recall) of MOV files very well.
If that’s the case, my suggestion is to convert them to MXF which Vegas handles easily.
Use the Batch Render script built into Vegas to transcode multiple numbers of files.

Click the first picture, hold down the shift key and click the last one and then press the ‘g’ key to group them all together. Place the cursor at the end of the last picture, hold the Ctrl key down and drag it backward to the new desired length.
That’s all there is to it 🙂

Your horrible computer specs are the problem. To expect fast render times with HD video you need to be running an i7 processor and rendering to a different drive than your programs are on.

My guess is that you imported the veg file instead of opening it.
Doing it this way is called nesting and can be very useful but obviously not what you wanted to do.
