I have googles this issue and it seems like it can’t be done in vegas.

If I select a group of clips vertically aligned in several tracks and drag the edge of one of them to trim it (them) to some new position, it only trims that clip. All the other selected ones stay the same. WHY?
It doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t know about other video programs, but in all audio programs I use it works they I expect.
Can someone explain why Vegas does not allow this? (without grouping and stuff…)
    thanks

Vegas does allow it but you have to group them first before you trim them.

    Mike,
Is there a reason for that? If I select X clips, vegas should not “see them” as grouped?
I really don’t see the advantage of not being able to do it the easy way.

Joao,Vegas has never worked like that. Each event (what Vegas calls a clip) is treated independently. The only thing it groups together is the video and audio portions of a specific event. If you want two or more events to be affected simultaneously, you have to group them.
