If you have the money in your budget, I recommend looking at brands other than Micronic as they’re not that good. Microphones are tools and, like all tools, you get what you pay for. A good one is well worth the extra money spent on it.
For $133, B&H has the Audio-Technica AT803B.
The only drawback to it is that it is a large mic in comparison to other brands.
An excellent very small one is the Countryman B3, also at B&H for $178.
Both mics require phantom power and your recorder supplies this so that’s not an issue.Here’s a description of what Phantom power is.

Enable the Sync Cursor button (it looks like a lock) at the lower left of the Pan/Crop window. Once you do this any and all changes will be show immediately in your preview window.
Be advised that any changes you make will result in a new/modified keyframe so be careful or you’ll end up with unwanted ones. -
Russ, you are correct about a pass through device going to firewire.
I disagree about your Vegas not liking non time coded tapes. I’ve captured hundreds of hours of VHS tape and never had any problems using Vegas. Just remember to disable tape control in the capture prefs. -

Render the image files from After Effects to a specific folder.
Once that’s done, start up Vegas, go File – Import, browse to your AE folder, click on the first image and then click the Open Still Image Sequence box at the bottom of that window. Make sure that the range is the same as what you rendered out. Click Open which will bring up a new window. Make any changes in this new box if you have to and then press OK. The file will now show up in your Project Media tab. Drag it to your timeline and play it 🙂

I render out that way from After Effects all the time so I know that it does work.

Is this two separate audio tracks that you’re trying to bring into DVDA or is it two separate tracks in Vegas that you’ve mixed together?

Render it in that same resolution but as a series of PNG images with transparent background.
When you get back into Vegas, import it as an image sequence and everything should line up just fine.
No codec issues to worry about 🙂 -
I periodically get a warning that the total file size is too large. When that happens I just ignore the waring and proceed as I usually do. No more complaints from DVDA 🙂
What happens if you ignore the warning? Can you still prepare/burn?
