  • I just had a look around at 3rd party tools and Vegasaur has a 1-Click Command tool called Unused Media. Here’s what it does:

This command enables the fastest way to find all unused media in a project. The Unused Media command will find all media in a project that is not currently being used, and then moves them to a special media bin with the name “Unused”. The command can be run again to update the bin after changes are made. This command is very helpful when working on large projects with many media files.

Sounds like what you’re looking for.
    More info at https://vegasaur.com/Vegasaur
It’s $100 but is a very extensive tool kit.

  • Click the symbol that looks like a lightning bolt on the top left of the Vegas window.
This removes anything that’s not on your timeline from your project. Save your project again, exit, start it up and you won;t get the nagging. Repeat as necessary.
Be advised that this will also remove anything that hasn’t yet been added to your timeline.

    From the online help menu:
Click the Remove All Unused Media from Project button to remove any files that have not been used on the timeline.

If these are from a still camera, go into Options > Prefs > Editing.
On this page, set New Still Image Length to 1 second.
Make sure Automatically Overlap Multiple Selected Media is not selected (unless you want to do a very quick fade from one image to the next which I doubt).
Make sure all images are sequentially numbered.
Import them, drop them on your timeline and play the sequence back.
Adjust the Still Image Length if you want them to be on screen more or less.

While you’re looking for a solution render the ac3 file using Pro 12 and use this plus your mpg file rendered using Pro 16 to create your DVD. That way you get the volume you’re looking for.

  • Options – Preferences – General
Enable this option: Make spacebar and F12 Play/Pause instead of Play/Stop
Select this check box if you want the F12 and spacebar keyboard shortcuts to toggle between Play and Pause mode.
In this mode, the cursor will maintain its position

    Give Route Generator a try.

  • For a start, use the Parametric EQ effect (found in all versions of Vegas) and choose the Phone Line Effect option.
Play with the Center Frequency and Bandwidth settings.
This won’t give you any kind of static but should be close to what you want.

I know I’m late to this post but I just came across a very interesting article that I think you might like to read.
