I’m on a forum (https://jwsoundgroup.net/) for pro audio people who do work like this for a living and that’s standard procedure for them for any kind of voice over or sit down single person interview.
This way the person editing it has a choice between the sound of the boom or the lav or a combination of both. -

Click on the “Specify a new location…” option and you’ll be easily able to see the full location in the window that comes up.

My apologies. I went back and re-read what you were asking for so ignore my previous comment.
Hopefully these two screen shots will illustrate how easy it is to do what you want.
In this example I have a stick figure in front of a CK (chromakey) screen that’s too small for the frame. I CK him, the CK background disappears and he’s standing in the full frame.
Is this what you want to do?

I use Vegas to do my file conversions for me.
As Neil said, if you’re having problems we need to know what file type you’re having problems with. -
Joe, believe me when I say that the package Marco put together is amazing! I had never tried frameserving until I got this setup and he explains so well that even I had no problems following it. I use it all the time and the results are definitely worth it.

Use the masking feature in the Pan/Crop window to cut out anything that isn’t green. I’ve had to do this before and it works like a charm 🙂

Create your text as a credit roll (a crawl is from right to left) and then use 3D track motion on that track to tilt it back and position it at the desired angle.

If the second video is on a lower track, the easiest way to see it is to Solo it. That button is in the Track Header box on the far left of the track.
