You may want to talk to the powers that be to give you more than $5,000. That barely covers the machine and Monitor. Other World Computing has good prices on RAM.

I have been checking into this and it appears that Adobe After Effects can do this effect. unfortunately I do not have After Effects.

Does anyone think it is possible to do this with Motion? I have spent two days trying to figure this out.

I just upgraded to Final Cut Studio 2.o today and so far everything is working well.

I will export to DV and see if this works with my system configuration. I have been demuxing the footage to M2V and AIFF with Mpeg Streamclip.
