I’ll do that Edward. In the meantime when using transitions within New Blue from the VP 11 media generator tab I see a lot of artifacting. I’ll pass that info along as well. Thanks.

Steve, I have very little complaint with the software. It was working fairly well with all of the OFX that I use including New Blue and Boris products. I don’t know what changed with the upgrade. You would think the positives would go up not down. The Sony Creative forums have become nothing but a bash fest for the product and maybe there is good cause for that. Are the developers really biting off more than they can chew or is it just that trying to please everyone gets us all in trouble?

Yes i am one and the same. I had the issue with the focus of the camera that one time. I am just as perplexed to why. The response of the falling snow throwing off the focus made some sense, but the focused shots cancelled that out. I am hoping it just needed to sort itself out and it doesn’t happen again.

Yes you have. Go into the Options tab and click on “ignore event grouping”

Check for a rogue keyframe on the timeline at the beginning of the event and delete it.

I have had problems with every release of Vegas since 9. All of the bugs were worked out of all of them for the most part. The trouble with it all is that just when one gets working pretty well they change things up. Some would say they cross things up.

I have been fairly lucky with VP11 so far. I made some additions to my computer such as the power supply and video card long before it came out. Most of that was to accommodate the third party plugins that I added to the system. I can only think that it was the best thing I could have done with this release. Sure, there were hair pulling crashes occuring at first, but then there were moments similar in every edition of Vegas. It is better and I can only hope that it all gets ironed out for the simple fact that I just can’t afford the alternatives.

  • Trouble getting started at all? I had some issues for a short time. I had to make sure nothing is highlighted in the preset windows on a few occasions. I also save the project on the timelime, close and reboot Vegas. It has been working like it should lately. I have a Nvidia GTX460 video card.

There were some issues with both New Blue Titler pro and some BCC plugins but they have been resolved for the most part. I still need to call up New Blue from the Media Generator tab. From Video FX it is a crash almost every time.

No, I don’t have Soundforge, Steve. One day I might spring for it.

I do have Audacity in my program files, Mike. Forgot all about it. I’ll have to familiarize myself with that again.. Thanks.

Here I have one on my system in the form of ACID Music Studio 8. I’ll learn to look one day. I could still use any advice and insight, lol.
