I actually may have a solution for you, as long as you can covert your document to word format (.doc). I am no big fan of word and hate to suggest this, but this is what works with google documents.

You can uplaod a document and then share it. Only requires the collaborators to have a free google account(one of the few on the interent you wont get spammed from).

If you use word, I like to export my logos from illustrator as .emf and you will get vector quality if you place them into word.

Check your palettes to see if anything out of the oridnary is there. If you have no document open adn add color swatches or style, they will be added to all new ID documnts. If you reset the prefs though the color swatches should go back to the default, so not sure this may help that much.

Check under edit >> preferences >> file handling and turn off image previews there also. Has anything changed like plug ins or saving to a different hard drive possibly?

I think to solve your post you have to first look at what software do they all have, and make a template/solution for that.

Acrobat as you have found out would be a great solution, except you cannot save your files with just the reader.

Maybe you should have them fill out a web form and email them back a PDF with the correct information.

I am seeing this as you having many image layers of different images, and a few adjustment layers on top which you would want to apply onto each image layer.

In that case you could bring you layers into after effects, and on layer 1 video import a filmstrip of lal your image, on layer2 import an image of your adjustment layer and dfo so for each adjusmtnet layer. I only say after effects instead of Premiere, because Premiere lacks many blending modes.

If you only have Phtoshop, you could make layer comps and then use file >> scripts >> layer comps to files.

Do a save as and turn off save with preview images to get this down to about 88k.

Sorry that we coudln’t find a solution for you. All I can say is that if you are resetting your preferences and the problem is there, thatn the the problem must not be with the configuration ro corrutpion fo a photoshop preference.

You could try reinstalling Photoshop, but that may not be worth the effort as it does not sound like this is a major problem, just an annoyance.

Out of curiousity, what happes if you hit Shift U, does you shape tool sycle through all the options like it is supposed to?

Hope that I am understading your post correctly. Is it that your mouse acts like a rollover on the tool and pops them open as you pass over them?

212 mb illustrator saves must take awhile, lets start by solving your enexpected quit problem by making illustratrator work not as hard. Give the 2 times a try, let us know how small your file gets afterwards.

1) Link to your images rather than embedding them. When placing make sure the link box is checked, you can easily replace all your image using the link palette if they are already embedded.

2) Do a svae as, and taek off PDF comptaible, unless you are placing your .ai file into tInDesisgn or such no need to ad pdf compatible as it really maeks the file bigger

If you are still having problems, let us know the important stuff about your file like what placed images you have and their file format, or any different fonts like Beowolf 231.

USing the text tool, to select a text box you can choose file >> export, and you will get the formats (.rtf, .txt).

I have not used the text exporter mentioned, so it may have more features such as exporting by pages rather than linked text.

I do often use somehting called puretext on the PC. It pastes the clipboard as unformatted text, so I can pick up the formatting from the target document in another application.

Thanks everybody for sharing your wisdom, I’m not so familiar behind the camera as I am behind the computer. I recorded without the Sennheiser Mike, and the camera was close enough so it is clear and loud enough.

Maybe I will finally try out Adobe Audition to improve the sound.

The Canon GL-2 is much much better than my old Sony PC-100. Had to buy the GL-2 for a client, didn’t want to spend too much or too little. Was nice for once to have extra lights and not need to set them all up. Wish my client woudl let me borrow the camera, all the flowers are growing so fast now and that camera has a time delay

One day I hope to get something with an even lower lux like the XL. Mayeb I will get myself a GL-2 as it is small and could still make a good vacation camera. There are a couple of places that sell it for as low as $600 but no warranty or power charger ($279 additional).
