Is your image 32 bit?

Not sure where you are getting save a version or jump from. I am on Photoshop CS2 and I have the evil version que disabled.

I saved a 25 x 25 and it was 481 bytes. Size on disk is 4.0kb, probably because that is the minimum size of a packet on that disk.

So if you are runnign into the same situation, you woudl have to reformat yoru disk to a smaller packet size, or just drag this onto a USB shuttle .

When using save for web you will notice the estimated file size on the bottom left, use this to help you figure out what is the best setting and what is going on.

I do nto think your keyboard is defective, as going to word fixes the problem, so I believe this is software based.

This could possibly be a virus or a control panel like regional and language options is getting corrupted.

To battle viruses on the pc1) Ctrl Alt Del – look to see if any strnage processes are running. You can do a google search on the .exe to see if ti si a virus, then find it and delete it
2) Start >. Run >> Msconfig – look fo any viruses on the startup tab

3) Use free software like lavasoft’s adaware, spybot

4) Buy some software like Webroot’s Spy Sweeper, NAV, Spy Doctor or Stopzilla

5) Revert to a restore point before the probelsm started. I lawasy manually make a restore point once a machine is good, casue the manual restore points have a better cahnce of successful restore.

Use the keyboard command for the apporiate palette and it comes instantly to front. (eg: F7 for layer, F9 for transform)

The mac dashboard uses many of the F Keys, so you have to disable them to get many of the Indesign window shortcuts to work.

Though your selection is filled, the error might be refering to that your selection is not individual paths but a group/compound/masked object/etc.

The appearance palette is a great way to check if your selection has something offending applied which may interfere with pathfinder.

Object >> Envelope Distort >> make with warp

Photoshop
I believe it is under edit >> transform >> warp. You need CS2, I am working somewhere today with only CS1.

You can also export a frame from your AE file to a still image format like tif if needed and your already have this distored in AE.

Use Object >> Emvelope Distort >> make with warp
I often draw a rectangle with fill& stroke of none behind my logo/type to distort, to the size of the undistorted background element. The no fill/stroke item serves as a good reference for the amount of warp to apply, and is a life saver if you later have a type change.

Photoshop

Tougher to do in photoshop as it works on only 1 layer at a time. In Illutrator you can distort whatever is selected,(preferably a group).

I would set up my pages in printer spreads to contain the top| spline|bottom page all one page. Use guides on your master to show the separation.

The “keep spreads together” feature unfortunatley only works in the horizontal direction.

You can stitch together multiple pages sizes using the book feature, but I do not know of a way to do vertical spreads in InDesign.

read up on live trace feature in illustrator starting with CS2.

I used this to convert an entrance banner for the Chicago Business Opportunity Fair. The original artwork provided to me was of an illustrative style of some Corinthian columns, so the results were fantastic.

Sounds like your eye is overlapping 2 paths. Use pathfinder >> minus front.

You will need to do this twice to get each eye knocked out of the the 2 pumpkin body shapes underneath, so put a copy of the eye in the clipboard, and use paste in front.
