the rubber bands are replaced by keyframes, which are much more accurate.

I started doing that, but remember, I tried making a new project in 2.0 with one menu, one timeline, and could not make the disc image.
We installed on a different machine and will see if same problem exists.

hmm, interesting that you got the error too. However all my timelines hav eonly 1 clip, audio and video.

no, all clips are longer than 1/2 second, indeed longer than a few minutes

During the “planning navigation for movie” portion of the build, it gave me this error:
internal software error. /Vobulator/TitlePlanner/CVOBUPlanner.cpp, line 331
I have tried this with both projects created in 1.5 and with a new project created in 2.0
Could it be an install problem?

the main reason i got 2.0 is that it is supposed to fix the “automatic next title at end of timeline” issue – but I may need to re-author to see if this is the case.

for hoo-ha’s I made a small project from scratch in Encore 2.0, and it build the ISO no problem.
Seems I will have to rebuild unless I can track down the culprit asset in the 1.5 project, which would probably take just as long.
Anyone else have problems opening 1.5 projects?

yes, chapter at end of timeline – beware, some dvd players will go to the next timeline regardless of how you have the DVD programmed. I have been told on this board that Encore 2.0 fixes that problem, but have not tried it yet.

look into a 10×10 router so you can send any signal anywhere without any manual patching. You may be able to get a system with extra serial control panels which you could have at each gen and rec station. if each signal is going to more than one destination besides the router, such as a local monitor at the source, or to a video switcher or recorder, put a DA at the source end.
I would avoid taking the video signal out of the dvd recorder, as you could get the silly on-screen display from the dvd recorder recorded onto your other recordings. Distribute the source before the recorders and long cable runs, which can save extraneous long cable runs. And diagram this out in Excel before you even buy any gear, to make sure it is logical for maintenance also.
