    Hello

I have premiere pro 2 and was wondering how do you adjust the volume of an audio clip like you want the song to be in the foreground and then lower for speech..in premiere 6.5 you could do it with the rubber bands which are not evidently present in the new version..the only thing I could find was the audio transition which is only of value between two clips..Please advise and thank you.

You can adjust volume levels on the “fly”. Go to audio mixer and change from read to “write” in the audio track you want to work. There are other funtions too.

the rubber bands are replaced by keyframes, which are much more accurate.

Not replaced. Augmented by. The rubbers are still there.

Select pentool (P) – then place the pen on the rubber and while holding ctrl, right click on your mouse over the rubber.

Actually, you don’t even need to switch to the Pen tool anymore – if you have the selection tool, hold down Ctrl + click to create keyframes…
