Try Lossless, or Quicktime’s Animation Codec at 100. That will give you maximum quality, although the files will be large.

I think I would use Time Stretch to change the speed, it moves keyframes for you, interpolates and such.

Click on that little double arrow, second from left) on the bottom of the timeline window and drag the Stretch to what you want. Or just below where the columns me the layers. It all looks smooth to me no matter what the stretch is, no multiples necessary.

You can also access it with Layer>Time Stretch, but there you need to type in a figure, not as interactive.

Or if that doesn’t work for you, try Time remapping or Time Warp to change the speed, then loop the animation. Andrew has a good tut on speed changes here:

If they are for position keyframes you can remove them from the screen, yet maintain them in the timeline, by trimming the layer with Alt [ or Alt ]. Say you have 20 keyframes for position and you don’t want to see the 19 little x’s on the screen just before the point you’re at. Go back a frame and Alt [, to trim the layer to that point… the little x’s disappear from the screen, but the keyframes remain in the timeline.

When your done with all your frame by frame changes go back and restore the layer, Home puts you at the beginning of the comp, or just manually go to where the layer’s original inPoint was, the hit Alt [ and the layer is restored to it’s original inPoint… little x’s on the screen and all.

Do you mean you’re adjusting the position? There I see a little x for each keyframe.

Anchor Point doesn’t do that for me (on AE6.5, maybe it’s on the newer versions).

Zoom in, Alt >, or use a little scroll wheel if you have one.

Why the minute adjustments? Just curious.

There doesn’t see to be a good way to do that.

Workaround:

Copy the position keyframes of the layer you don’t want to move.

Select all layers and align.

Make that layer you didn’t want to move the Parent of all the others.

Paste in those original position keyframes into that layer you wanted not to move.

It should be in it’s original position with all others aligned.

To do what you want, maybe it should be called the Malign Panel…
