I use FCP 7 as well as MC 5.5 and MC is very stable. To make such a statement is childish.

I use both. FCP has some great things, but so does MC 5.5. But as any serious editor knows…it’s not the tool it’s the person using it. To just make a blanket statement about never going back or not using a certain editor is quite immature. The same goes for all those chastising FCP X.

I doubt that Edgar who was the visual effects editor for “The Hunt for Red October” and who won an Emmy for best editor for a TV series in 1992, has worked on projects with George Lucas, & edited an Oscar nominated Feature Doc, has workflow issues. FCP is sill way behind MC5 as a Professional tool.

Thanks for the replies.

Each Editor will have their own login. All media will be on a SAN. Media will be captured by an EA and occasionally by the Editors. Projects may also be shared, but not the norm.

I’m selling a 2 yr old 4.5 TB G-Technology G-Speed eSata 6 drive Raid w an Atto UL5D PCIe card and a 750Gb spare drive. Perfect working order and Mint condition. All cables and original box included. The Atto card has been updated with the latest “Snow Leopard”. drivers. This array is formatted for Mac but can be reformatted for PC. I have it configured as a Raid 5 and I am getting Write speeds of 220mbs and read speeds of 197mbs. Much faster speeds can be attained in Raid 0. For more info:
