    Is the new D960 dual-core 32 or 64 bit?

Thanks, I’ve been pretty lucky with most of the manual downloads but this one is hard to come by for some reason.

  • Interlacing first, I had this problem when I went to dual monitor. I bought a ViewSonic VA1912wb widescreen monitor (1440 x900). Very nice monitor but I can’t seem to get rid of the interlaced lines when I run PPRO 1.5
No big deal it exports to tape and everything else fine.
Dual monitors, I don’t think you can use the TV out as a monitor. I’ve tried this before and there doesn’t seem to be a way. The way I do it is I hook up my XL1s via firewire and run a monitor off of that. That works perfectly. You should be able to do this with most Mini DV cameras.

I wanted dual montitors so I just picked up an Nvidia GeForce 6200.
Is this a pretty good card? It was OEM and only 100 bucks.
    Thanks

Okay, so Mainconcept codec is built-in , then why isn’t the option given to export using main concept? Do I have to buy the codec from them first?
I went to their website and they say to uninstall the current version first before installing the new. How do I do that or do I need to since it is built in as you say?
    Thanks,
    It’s a little confusing.

Okay, so what if I capture uncompressed video. When I edit are the transitions and effects applied uncompressed? I have a project coming up that’s on Beta SP. I want to capture it uncompressed and keep the quality all the way through the process. PPro can do this right?

Also, the company I would be working with wants to distribute the final DVD. It would be pressed so, I’m not sure now I would fit in with the authoring but I could be doing that as well. I’ve always done authoring for my own stuff which I burned on the PC. I’m not sure how it works to turn over authored video for a pressing. I’m sure theres’ a format they look for but I haven’t a clue.

Yeah, I had a shoot over a year ago and it was on Beta SP. So, I want to capture uncompressed if possible. I shoot with DV and DVCam so I understand what you’re saying but at the same time a lot of people still use Betacam for their master tapes. I just want the best of both worlds. Thanks for the insight.

hmmm, okay thanks for the input. I wonder why Adobe has them listed as full support? I mean it’s only them and ATI listed on their website. I’m not using any capture cards other than firewire so that shouldn’t interfere. I’m trying not to get a new system yet untill I decide whether to go to final cut or not so I’m kinda patching as I go. I wonder if it could be an Athlon issue?
I’m going to try it on single monitor only and see if it changes the perfomance.
    Anybody else got some insight?
