1st off, its 14 GB’s dude..2nd. the client wants to play it at a party on a small projector and run it through his laptop so a 14gb file may have problems running HD that way.

I’m trying to get the smallest footprint I can get while still maintaining the best quality I can get from a 720pn HD dvcproHD file (shot with pany hpx170)

    can ya help me?

vincent, what are the software options ? Do they or would they integrate to a format that would be compatible with premiere? I plan on doing a few of these for some people and If I could find a software that make this is easy, I’m all in.. Please, give me some names.

    Thanks,

thanks.. I was actually editing my post when you responded but here is what else I was asking..(sorry to be a pain bro)

Oh also since I have you or anyone to help me, I had another question. When I originally started my project, it was edited in premiere, then dynamic linked to after effects for some effects & Color correcting , then back into premiere. Only thing is, now that I am in premiere wanting to a couple transitions and sound efx, the only project in my timeline is the “AE inked file” ..? its like it has replaced my cuts with just one file and for the life of me I cant figure out how to bring back the full edits? Do you know what I did wrong and if there is any way to get my original edit cuts back in the timeline in replace of the one single AE file?

sorry for the 101 I am just stumped..

Thank you for the help Mr.Vince Becquiot .. My friend has sorenson squeeze at his house so I could use it.. what workflow would you recommend with sorenson? ie: should I render to the quicktime file in premiere and then use sorenson in place of quicktime pro to get to H.264? Or is there a way from premiere to sorenson I dont know?

    thanks again!!

sounds excellent..thanks alot alex. by the way, have you ever run into any problems doing this either way? I am working with 24p 720PN HD footage from my panasonic HPX170, it runs about 4 minutes (the project) and I want to color correct ALL of the footage for look and consistency in AE BUT I also want to add some effects (some extensive some not) on some of the clips.. Do you think the above method # 1 is better using dynamic link or..??Also, since I have your help, if I used option 1 and then had to render in premiere pro , is that advisable? Or should I render in encore or something else? I think I had heard premieres rendering wasnt that great (speedwise and quality wise) My end format is dvd but also I need to render out a copy to be projected from a projector, so maybe a quicktime file also.

    thanks again!!

    thanks for the help alex..

    ok, I’m on CS4 ..

My timeline right now is cuts for a music video .. so its also sync’d to music. What i want to do is take the WHOLE SEQ into AE and add Color correction and add EFX to certain clips..is that possible or should I just take individual clips in one by one (ugh, if thats the workflow)

I’m on a pc by the way, quad core, 8 gb ram.
