I’m trying to compress a quicktime file (yes I finally made it) and using sorenson squeeze I cant figure out what format to use to keep it at high quality.I think Vince from here told me H.264 but from what Audience-Format I cant tell because there are a few. My project is a 720pn-29.97fps hd FILE shot from a panasonic hpx170. My quicktime came out to be about 14GB for an 11 minute video with effects. When I encoded squeeze In what I thought was the right format it seems it loses quality…

btw is the apple mpeg4 codec H.264 codec? are they the same?

    can anybody help me out?

Why do you need to compress it? i.e., What is the end use – web, desktop, broadcast, etc.?

1st off, its 14 GB’s dude..2nd. the client wants to play it at a party on a small projector and run it through his laptop so a 14gb file may have problems running HD that way.

I’m trying to get the smallest footprint I can get while still maintaining the best quality I can get from a 720pn HD dvcproHD file (shot with pany hpx170)

    can ya help me?
