yes 720p 60fps….I am going to dvd. I have to admit a blonde..I mean user mistake, in the format I had the raster dimensions 1280×720 and changed to 960×720…but…

I burned (hockey) game footage last year and that footage looks a lot better than this go round. I burned my last dvd with sorenson squeeze. Any advice on a different format to get the best possible look in SD?

….and if one was to advance to HD/Blue Ray…is that a matter of purchasing a dvd writer that will output blue ray?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the info and I did get most of the files to finally work. But I was wondering if I could bug you on a different issue.

I have one external HD (M:\) that holds a great deal of old footage shot with the panasonic 200. I got all of my media files loaded into my project, except one folder. I have tried this several times…I would open up my project in MC and then I would create a fake title to activate my K:Avid Mediafiles\1\, then I would copy and paste the files in there. Then I would do the media tool for the K: and it never shows up, even though when I look at the K:\ all the video and audio files are there. Any thoughts? Its driving me crazy because its the last file that I need. Thanks for your help.

  • Thanks for the advice. I have to give this a try.

  • Problem solved and I might have to go back to the basics. When first setting up a project on the right hand side of the box there is a format button. Click on that and all the different types of shooting formats appear. I created a new project w/ the correct shooting format and now the HD video shows up.

  • The format says 30i NTSC…only other choices are 1080i/60i & 1080 60iHDV….is this what you are asking. Sorry, I am not an expert.
