Error clip frame rate 59940 does not match project fr rt
We have Avid Exp 5.7 Academic Package and shot on the Panasonic 200 in 720 30P stored on a FS-100 Firestore. Finally, we were able to import files into Avid but when we go to play the clip we get the error clip frame rate 59940 does not match project frame rate 2997. Transcode this clip to the current project format before using it.
In the project Type / Format Tab I only get three choices and they are 30iNTSC, 1080i/59.94 and 1080i/59.94 HDV. I have tried them all but I still get the same message. when I tried to transcode the clip, nothing would happen. Please suggest anything I can try to make this footage usable. Thanks.

What’s he project type that you are in?
anything 24fps

The format says 30i NTSC…only other choices are 1080i/60i & 1080 60iHDV….is this what you are asking. Sorry, I am not an expert.

Problem solved and I might have to go back to the basics. When first setting up a project on the right hand side of the box there is a format button. Click on that and all the different types of shooting formats appear. I created a new project w/ the correct shooting format and now the HD video shows up.

i’m having the same problem – however it is not fixed by changing the project frame rate to 59.94 it still says when I get into the project that i’m in 29.97 and that i have to transcode.. even though the project settings are at 59.94
any suggestions?
