September 10, 2011 at 8:54 am in reply to: Sunset, Heat deformation for a Movie Title.I’m quite proud to see that your suggestion isn’t far away from what I actually thought to do. I think my obstacle here is english for the most. About “speed-ramp” you simply mean to look among those artbeats, right? So.. Pre-composing some footage that can actually become a “matte” for a displacement map is a good idea, and I’m underlining all of this because I’d love you to correct me if I misunderstood something:
Displacement map actually need a pre-composed layer and uses the contrast between a matte, so black with white, to deform the layer. Changing the horizontal/vertical depth of the distortion can really recreate the heat effect, and here we are. I could actually ask to a friend of mine who has Psunami to render something for me. 🙂
Something NEW I learned (this community is probably one of the most rare diamonds in the Web, I just hope to be able to be of help as much as you all) is this Luminance idea.. The (Correct) language you used confused me a little (damn first language not being english), but I’ll try it out.

September 3, 2011 at 5:55 pm in reply to: “Ink” Titolation, having some problems about “How-To”Of course, you’ve been a great help here. I’m already using it and with playing around with the particle system I achieved what the client seems to desire. I was actually pushing foward the thread to discover something useful, like indeed use the puppet tool with particles or the mesh warp fx. Particular really is a deep but difficult tool.

September 3, 2011 at 10:29 am in reply to: “Ink” Titolation, having some problems about “How-To”I may lack some experience indeed, and it would really help my growth to have some advices (except my own logic) about how to use the puppet tool with pre-composed particles, or even the mesh warp.. Even if I kinda get what you’re saying maybe: by animating a particle straight and then warping it or changing it’s shape with the puppet tool I could ease my work?

August 28, 2011 at 12:28 pm in reply to: Brainstorming: smoke/ink Effect with or without Artbeats..!Argh.. I thought it would have been a real preset but it seems a Project file.. Cool and useful enough, but it’s quite hard to understand how to fully use it. 🙂 Of course if anyone has any further suggestion (or even yourself) I’m here, I’ll take them as pure gold.

Indeed it’s not “AE OpenGL” that has problems.. It is DEACTIVATED. When that GPU fail happens, the next (istantaneous) error that make the whole program crash says something about the Nvidia Card: “The Nvidia OpenGL driver detected a problem with the Display Driver”.
Sadly, I’m been impulsive writing down the topic, my memory was at fault, I do have 5.040 version and it says it is up to date.
..I honestly laughed (nervously) a little when I discovered the GPU control checkbox. Geez.. WHY do people make things complicated when it’s not hard to simplify them? It’s a known issue, so why “hide” that command? Thanks, it seems to help. :]

August 16, 2011 at 12:21 pm in reply to: Sickengly Slow Startup of CS5.5 (and CS5 before that)..Woh.
Found it.
It WAS the Antivirus. Stopping it from the beginning of the startup, avoiding it to start actually Lighted A.E. speed on opening itself.
It became almost a thunder (comparing it to before), I saw a strange issue with Mediacore that actually made think A.E. that my effects were duplicates, but since I’m pretty sure I won’t have much use of Mediacore I just deleted them from there. I still have some issues and you guys will be of extreme help to me in the near future (I already opened a thread here about something I’m trying to achieve) but your last advice is been gold. :]

Well, being now here, at the point to maybe have to wipe and re-build the system.. Do you, or anyone else, have any advice about this? I have a Workstation so Stability and performance are really important, and I don’t want to Format for then mess things up. Once I heard I actually have to manually install Chipset’s drivers! *gulp*
Oh, and being probably a problem of english not being my native language, what do you mean with “(and then imaging the good, functional install before beginning project work).”. :°
I have a Premium bought Antivirus of VIPRE, I’ll do some tries but I don’t think that’s the problem, sadly I often worked with that off as.. Actually it’s hard for me to find a place with a good internet access.
Thanks for everything, as always.
