Thanks for the advices. :] I didn’t think about SENDING the file with a little HDD, but that’s really a good idea. The problem is if something like this can work out in Italy. ._. Now I’m working with a 20k*1080 picure, but for now I’m managing to make the client understand the “slide” as a good idea. The problem which you can see above is that I actually have to animate the whole thing for 40 seconds AND making it fit inside the P2’s resolution means deleting all the details he wants.

  • What’s the purpose of that process? I’m still trying to speed up my machine but there must me something that blocks mediacore, because even with the “Common” folder completely wiped and the Plugins folder almost free it still take ages to go on. My Plugin folder now has the “Effect” folder, Sapphire’s, Trapcode’s and not much more stuff in it. *mumble*

What I’m been able to find is that the Resolution is a 1440*1080 16:9 video to edit on Final Cut Pro. I managed to adjust the long animation (20 minutes) to scroll inside that size, but there is still a 40 seconds one that must have the WHOLE image on screen, and resizing it so much kills every single detail inside of it, this could be a problem.. But things are going better, I have more issues with my Workstation than thinking about how to manage this.

P.S.: It’s.. Years that I’m searching around the web, world, friends & co. about something.. Just now, only now came to my mind the fact that I could very ask it here. Is there anyway I can learn, or better know for myself prices of Motion Graphic/Graphic Design works? I’m always quite confused and worried with this argument, and I’d love to have any hint or discussion/example about it. Feel free to ask me anything if you need. But for the most I’m been unpayed for the last years except some occasions where I worked outside of the office that used me ’til now.

  • I’ve tried both of the tips I had.. Having some differences since before. Moving all the Plugs from the folder make Mediacore indeed faster, but losing all of my important tools, while killing the Quicktime process helps but really a little.

What does NOT change is the extreme amount of time that A.E. takes even BEFORE initializing the engine and mediacore. *mumble*

  • Thanks for the support, I’ve done both of the Tests and these are the results:

I tried a Premiere Pro CS5.5 trial (I use Avid Media Composer for Video Editing) and.. In the startup mediacore even didn’t appear. It began loading and scanning in it’s folders but “Mediacore” never came up. It was not a thunder but anyway it opened away as a Normal heavy program.

Then, I’ve gone to the Common/mediacore folder in the Adobe tree and I’ve deleted the Plugins, I indeed thought that was a great advice! But.. Nothing changed. When I started A.E., the startup window has been blank (fully loaded of course, but with Nothing going on written) and after 2 minutes (!) “Loading Mediacore” appeared, it took another minute, a “better time” indeed, but then scanning folders was actually slow as always.

I’ll try. The fact is that on A.E. the Peak is “0db” while on Avid that’s the middle of the Audio Tool, because the objective for mixing is usually keep it from 0 to 6. I didn’t really understand A.E. in this for now.

Thanks a lot, I’ll try to read more these pages, indeed.. And I could have created a mess. Having CS5, then installing CS5.5 and transferring plugins.. With of course Antivirus on. Mh.. The problem is, the Tough one, is that I’m working on a Workstation and very professional people, who worked for years on these machines warned me that is NOT that simple to clean/format them. I would really need some help here.

Thanks for the quick response Dave, your thought is interesting and I checked out: no multiprocessing enabled, sadly. The only option I changed is to leave 2GB for the other applications.

Any other idea? Could it be my Hard Drive or..?

p.s.: in post scriptum, just out of my personal interest, what kind of road do I have to do to reach your software/hardware knowledge? I’m quite interested in the teaching of, but I’m not sure how to move in that direction.

I have really have brushes, but they ARE in another folder and when I need them I usually load them on the line, during work, then resetting them. I maybe have 20-40 fonts from third parties but, sadly, that’s not the problem!
