Need Hints & Brainstorming: “3D Camera fly by with 3D Texts trough an extremely long Map”
Hi guys. :]
I need some help here, something I thought to be “easy” is turning out quite tricky.
Basic Info:
I have the Map of a Road, so something that on the original size touches the 40000 pixels on lenght, I resized it to be 1920*20000~ pixels since it will fit an HD video. On this map there are tons of texts that explain what there is at each meter of it and I have to matte paint them out to then re-create them in 3D linking them to the old place, just readable with fashion. Just this obviously really have it’s weight on performance and working, but here are my doubts:How I tried to do it:
I’ve tried with two straight ways plus a hybrid: link a Null to the 3D layer or use a Camera, then trying to mix up those tools.Problems I had:
This thread and work will surely teach me something, at least a better way to do it. :]
The first problem is the LENGHT of the picture, with it every single command is EXTREMELY sensitive, so following curves and stuff become almost impossibile with both null and/or camera. Second, now I can’t think of a good way to link the texts to their rightful place and then fly by following exactly the picture, with the exact same path and speed. Having such huge space to play with it’s impossible and I can’t have a good perspective of what is happening, so I think I should somehow do the Texts in some kind of Precomposition.. Or something.I’ve uploaded a Frame example of what I’m talking about, in the picture you can see the old picture’s text, that I should delete and manage.
