    Thanks. Just to double check- reinstall Leopard on the PPC- that’s 10.5, yes? I knew I shudda left it alone….

    Sure. Output a quicktime movie (use current settings so you don’t compress it twice) and send that to Compressor. Then, it’s back to work in FCP. I do it all the time.

    Thanks. That’s just what I needed to know. And, yes, the Avids I normally work on are old hardware-based systems, circa 1995. Some with the old paired 9 gig hard drives. Old systems in old companies that still work fine for their purposes. Simple industrial and instructional programming that usually gets laid off to VHS tape- they don’t have DVD players yet.

    I just got off the phone with them and it is a simple cuts and dissolves program with a lot of text bullets. I should be fine. Thanks again.
