If you want to do the slo mo in camera you need to plan for it and shoot it that way. Any other way is a compromise. Going from 60 to 24, is not exact so there has to be some frame blending (lose of quality). Doing slo mo in post requires plugins to help get a good result.
But will this look horrible, no, it can be done you need to be doing test of the entire workflow it see what works best for your situation and still gives you acceptable results. With production there is no, do this and you will be fine.

Director or Flash if you want to do something fancy but both of those programs have steep learning curves. Simple video file in CD-ROM selection you just need to read a program like Toast’s manual.

This can be very easy or complex. But is has nothing to do with DVD Authoring.
You need to produce a Hybrid CD, which has two partitions, one is the audio CD and the other the video. If you just want the video to reside on the CD nothing much to do, if you want a player skin or interactivity that is something that needs to be build in Flash or Director of the like.

Same the project files on to a BluRay disc as data. Then if you need a copy you copy it back to the HD and burn a new disc. Or better yet, get a HD for backing up old projects you are looking at about a $5/project cost to do so.

A lot of these guys are one-two man shops. I emailed DFocus guy and got a reply the next morning. It is a touch business to be in so we should be a little patient with them. I would love to get all Zacuto stuff but man is it hard to pay $200 for a handle or a weight.
In the end DSLR cameras cost about the same as any enter level pro video camera. $5K.

There is not a lot of RT help, I know the Kona card only helps with one area and that is with thin raster codecs, it handles the scaling so the CPU doesn’t have to. But as far as filters and such that is all process. The thing that helps the new programs like CS5 stuff is the graphics card not the video card.

have not read too many good things about the focus, everyone seems to push the DFocus in that price range. I looked at their stuff at NAB and was more impressed with the pricing then the product, the shoulder mount felt pretty good, lacked some adjustments you get with the really high-end stuff but it is a 1/5th of the price.

They are still selling the card, so why would you have a problem. You will need the new driver, which you can download from there site.

50MB is a pretty big FCP file.
how many sequences do you have in the project file.
