I have noticed this bug as well. I’m not sure what’s triggering it because sometimes I can sync with no problem and others it changes it to 720p. It’s pretty easy to sync with FCPX since you can move the audio file while you’re playing the timeline; just shift with . or , until the echo is gone.

You can only add transitions to storylines. You have the primary storyline as your main track and you can make your “second track” a storyline by going to Clip > Make Storyline. A grey bar will appear above your new storyline and you’ll be able to create transitions to clips within the storyline.

  • Is it just me or are the blacks in the exposure settings affecting the midtones too much?

You can make it really small or put it on a second monitor but those are the only two options currently.

Also for professionals that make a living off of web delivery such as podcasts these features are not needed. Yes, they are professionals; they do get paid.

You can do the same. Sync up the two tracks (you can even have FCPX do it for you) and use the blade tool to cut the top track where desired.

  • You can also turn off the auto-transcoding and it will work directly with your .h264 files. Uncheck “Create Optimized Media.”
