I don’t have or have I ever used this hard drive device. I would try another computer if possible, and if this doesn’t mount then you may try to use the camera’s USB connection to move the data.

but now- when I try to import the footage I get this from the EX1: “Media Needs To Be Restored, Restore Media Now?”
This media restore only happens when you reinsert the card into the camera, and this tells me you are using the camera via usb to copy the BPAV folder over to a storage drive.
If this is the method you need to use then go ahead and restore the media as it won’t delete any files and make the camera allow the transfer.

I have 3 early EX3’s and they came with 1.02_0078 firmware and they should not need any update like the early EX1’s did. The OP states this doesn’t work with his EX3. I just wonder if he hasn’t tried to restore and stopped.MP

Are you able to restore it?I have several Transcend 16 gig Class 6 SDHC cards and they all work properly.I noticed with some other brands (Patriot 16 gig SDHC) that I needed to try the format process twice to get those cards to format but not with any of the Transcend cards. Perhaps this is not a real Transcend card as some people have said there are counterfeits out there.
What is the serial number and firmware version for your EX3?

I’m not sure this answers your preview question but I can review the last clip from the MxR/SDHC and also playback in Media mode any clip. I have been using the Transcend 16 gig Class 6 SDHC cards and I feel I can trust this combo with the MxR. Newegg has amazing prices for the Transcend cards right now, so perhaps you can order online to avoid the counterfeits.Micheal

What does this mean? I hope this person realizes you can’t combined BPAV folders together, BPAV folders need to be placed in a separate parent folder.
What did this shooter do to combined these files?

There should be a speed ring for the bag that fits on the light. I would use the support email address or the JTL and they can help you identify what parts you actually have and how to put them together.

If the MBP has the PCI Express slot then the data can transfer to the MBP system drive very quickly. I use my MBP pci express slot but I copy to a USB drive and it takes as long as it takes. Then I copy that to my media drive back at the office. I use the USB drive because it operates from the battery power of the MBP for field use.
I think the biggest time saver is not having to actually capture video from tape as this really requires a person to sit and watch making sure it doesn’t get interrupted, unlike drag and dropping files that we assume are coping, but if you add up the time it takes to final get the files to the place they need to be edited from then tapeless can be as much time or more than tape solutions.
Make sure you copy the entire BPAV folder into a parent folder of its own every time you dump a card, and it is a really good idea to keep the original EX BPAV folder as the archive so you can always convert to any platform.

It is not lost, you just need to include it by checking it in the Information/Logging window under subclips.
