No but the focus of this lens is critical. You will end up wide open most of the time on the EX lens as these adapters eat light.“Will a standard DOF calculator work for a Letus?”

It is the Fujinon XA17x7.6BERM w/2x Extender mounted to the Fujinon ACM-21 2/3 adapter for the EX3. I also have the Vari Zoom PG-F12 lens control.

Actually they produce a Cinefuse designed FOR THE EX1/EX3 stock lens issue to compensate the edge to edge sharpness. I like this adapter the best and I think this Brevis unit is the adapter I want..

You can set the Nano to (trigger) record when you push the record button on the camera. You need to set the camera to record run and when the Nano see timecode it starts recording. For single camera shoots this is the way to go. However you may need a timecode generator to feed multiple Nano units a common TC for multi-camera shoots.

I didn’t take it as snobbish, I thought it came from someone who invested 4 times as much money for a very good tape based system. If I had dumped what much into a camera with a native 720 sensor system I may have made this same spirited post. The HPX-3000 was way ahead of its time and it actually has full raster 1920×1080 HD sensors and not those 960×540 sensors that have the interpolation methods to make HD. I guess what is hard to believe is that these smaller 1/2 sensors have more resolution than that 30K Panasonic 900. Everything is getting smaller and better.

I’m on a Mac system and there is a driver needed just to read the SxS cards. Did you ever load the SxS driver?

If I where going to make a film with my EX3 I would want a good DoF adapter system with good lens and I would want to record beyond the 35 Mbps that the EX3 is limited to. I would beg, borrow or steal the Convergent Design Nano Flash recorder. This will insure that you are getting the absolute best image quality possible from this EX camera. Even if you only use the 100 Mbps you will see a huge difference in image quality. The Nano ships recording up to 220 Mbps all i-frame and a little bird told me it won’t be long before it records even higher (300) or possibly uncompressed. The only worry I have with the EX camera is if I had a scene with flashing lights and I would want the new XD Cam 800 for the 3 CCD sensors for those scenes.
I totally agree these cameras have empowered more people to create there thoughts.

NO NO NO.
NEVER rename any original folder or file created by the EX camera. You must create a parent folder for each BPAV folder every time.If you have given him the original BPAV folders he can re-wrap the clips and name them anything he wants.
