Would there be any difference in performance that way? Because it would mean having a texture that was 86,400 x 43,200 across… I really don’t want to have to go smaller than there are freely available assets for, if at all possible! Thank you though, I think that is what I will try next!

I’m having the same problem, did you ever solve this?
Thanks!

Have you played out to tape from Premiere Pro CC using a Kona 3? I’ve a tight deadline project in it very soon and usually work in FCP/Symphony… Would be good to get a heads up on any potential issues!
Best wishes,
Michael

I’ve just upgraded to CS6 from CS4, and now find that I can’t set the comp camera as my particle world camera, any ideas? Thanks!

February 20, 2012 at 2:37 pm in reply to: Blur in behavior doesn’t transition off smoothly.Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to do anything.
Under the bahaviors tab for Blur In there are the options to fiddle with the Face Blur, Outline Blur, Glow and Drop Shadow. But any changes made to these only effect the start of the transition. The end is always the same slightly soft text, that pops off at the end of the transition.
I think I may have worked out a workaround from rendering off a clean version too though. Thanks for your help with this. Learning Motion (I’m an After Effects man myself) is on my to do list. I’m sure to someone used to it’s layouts and flow would be able to fix this no bother.
Best wishes,
Michael

February 20, 2012 at 2:12 pm in reply to: Blur in behavior doesn’t transition off smoothly.Hi Mark,
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, the glow comes from the Blur In transition, it’s like that layer never truly comes in to focus. Glow isn’t turned on for the text in its style tab.
Just in case it makes a difference, I’m using a font called Futura Book (like a more delicate Futura).
Cheers!

August 4, 2011 at 1:23 pm in reply to: Layback HDV to tape using a Sony Z7, tips please? Is ProRes HQ not lossy then? My understanding is that ProRes 422/444 are Intermediate codecs, and therefore lossy? Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve had to work with HD material!

June 14, 2011 at 2:49 pm in reply to: Layback HDV to tape using a Sony Z7, tips please? That’s what I was expecting, but if it means saving £100+ then it’s fine for us. It’s only a hard back up, not for broadcast or anything, although the HDCAM tape may be used for the showing at the local arts cinema that’s holding the ‘premiere’! :o)

This is extremely hopeful, but… Has anyone had any success doing this with CS5 to CS4? I tried the copy and paste method but it didn’t work.
Cheers,
M
