  • Combining masks for element 3D extrusion

    Hi All,

I’m working on a simplified world map image that is constructed of rounded rectangles that I created in photoshop, I’d like to select the image and extrude it in Element 3D.

I’ve tried recreating the basic shape using masks in AE and then extruding in a custom layer in E3D but the mask intersects are showing as holes in the extrusion.

Changing the mask mode doesn’t do anything.

Anyone know a way to combine the masks so I just get the outline? either in photoshop or AE. (I’m thinking this would all be easier in Illustrator but the computer I’m on doesn’t have it installed)

Note: I can’t go around the image with the pen tool as it isn’t precise enough.

    Any help would be fantastic!

I’m having the same problem, did you ever solve this?

    Thanks!
